Edward Swenson was born in 1883 in Minnesota and moved to Park with his family when he was eight years old. His parents had come to America from Norway. They were one of the first families to ever settle in the Park Valley. They came to Moscow, Idaho by railroad train, and then spent three more days traveling by wagon to the site of their new home. This booklet comes from talks with Edward Swenson that were recorded at his daughter's home in July of 1974 by Sam Schrager. The booklet was prepared and illustrated by Karen Purtee and edited by Mr. Schrager.
